"Race"

AN ENCOUNTER WITH RACE

Today I encountered RACE.
The word and idea that some find so difficult to embrace
But for many, has taken away their peace
And brought them face to face with disgrace
For so long a time it has occupied their mind’s space
But unfortunately has slowed their pace
Making them feel terribly in need of grace
To help them find their place
on this earth, our God given base.
Oh! How I wish this was not the case
